There was a time when the only tools we needed to build and maintain a control system were a screwdriver and a voltmeter. Those days are long gone. Modern industrial automation systems have become much more powerful and complex. We still have push buttons, indicator lights, terminal strips, and relays but now there are PLCs, distributed I/O racks, networked VFDs, HMIs, databases, historians, servers, and Ethernet switches. The training department at EandM is the perfect place to come to learn about all of these components.
