Sales Engineer (Sick)
EandM is the largest US supplier of Sick sensor, safety and ID solutions. This is a leadership position responsible for driving Sick sales through our account and business developer sales teams
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering with a background in automation, software, electronics, optics, or a related field
- A minimum of four(4) years sales or customer service experience in a technical field
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, solid business, technical, and application-solving aptitude, sales presentation skills
- Must have the ability to manage consistently to a common plan, providing Field Sales leadership in the implementation of Corporate sales strategies
- Requires an understanding of the vendor/product approval process for sensing, safety and auto ID technologies utilized in the manufacturing process
- Requires fundamental leadership in customer management, opportunity assessment, excellent written/verbal communication skills, and good interpersonal working relationships
Responsibilities:
- Develop direct customer relationships with our sales team
- Secure machine design specifications as the preferred vendor for specific sensing, safety, vision, encoder and barcode-reading applications for OEM's
- Manage our sales relationship with Sick USA and meet sales and business development quotas
- Raise SICK Awareness: Introducing SICK technology to customers throughout California
- Account Evaluation: Understand account potential , competition and business issues
- Application Discovery: Identifying the key application that allows for the development of customer trust and differentiation for SICK solutions
- Product Evaluations: Work with key individuals to formalize the process for evaluating SICK product solutions. Application test, qualification, demonstration and installation are common phases of the sales process
- Promotions Development: Identify methods for continuously updating the customer of SICK's latest products, technologies, solutions, service, successes, and capabilities. This may occur through Direct Mail, Webinars, Workshops or Lunch & Learns

Account Executive
Qualifications:
- Previous technical sales experience with demonstrable results
- Prior use / experience with EandM products (a plus)
- Understand HMI / Industrial software market
Responsibilities:
- Assume territory responsibility with quota sales of all EandM offerings
- Manage End User, SI and OEM accounts
- Promote, participate, and assist in marketing functions in territory
- Request / organize / manage company resources to achieve sales targets
- Achieve growth in sales as measured in gross sales and number of customers
